The most memorable trip I took was to Anaheim, California to attend a video streaming conference. You might be asking yourself how I came across this type of convention? Well, in 2015, my friend Amber moved to California to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Later, I noticed she started getting really into live streaming. To add to her income, she discovered companies that offered partnering programs. Some companies were very generous in their compensation, but others only added partners if a popular partner vouched for them.
All politics aside, I found that online communities have a wide range of influencer types such as comedians, artists, self-help coaches, musicians, and authors. Day 1 of Vidcon was registration. Day 2 and 3 were filled with excitement especially since I met so many influencers from Youtube and the like. With the intention of becoming a partnered creator, I purchased a creator pass which allowed me to gain access to discussion rooms where potential creators could ask other creators questions in regards to their journey. This trip gave me the chance to broaden my technical knowledge and learn from experts who are utilizing these platforms to make a profit.
